Title:TwinAI: Empowering Digital Twins with AI
Affiliation:Northeastern University, USA
Abstract:Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming industries by enabling smarter, more efficient operations. When combined with Digital Twins—precise virtual models that simulate real-world systems—this integration, known as TwinAI, holds immense potential. TwinAI leverages the strengths of both technologies to optimize processes, predict outcomes, and create intelligent, self-learning systems. This powerful synergy can greatly enhance industrial processes and decision-making. In this talk, I will explore various levels of TwinAI utilization, showcasing practical applications and use cases for businesses and decision-makers. The focus will be on process optimization using AI-powered optimizers, accurate predictions through neural networks in discrete event simulations, and the application of reinforcement learning (RL) to develop adaptive, self-learning systems in production environments.
